His Na‘at collection titled "Bahār-e-Sukhan" (The Spring of Speech) was published twenty-three years after his demise, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Syed Irfan Nayyar. The title was chosen by Sajid Chishti himself, and it aptly encapsulates the thematic richness and spiritual fragrance embedded in the work. Bahār-e-Sukhan is more than a mere title—it signifies a blossoming garden of devotion and aesthetic creativity rooted in the love of the Prophet (PBUH). Chishti's other collections—"Naghma-e-Rāz" (mystical praise poetry) and "Gulzār-e-Sukhan" (ghazals)—are currently in preparation for publication, indicating his sustained poetic output and creative diversity. Sajid Chishti was among the few Sufi poets of his era whose poetry gained widespread popularity among qawwals (devotional singers) across Pakistan.</p> Dr. Muhammad Naeem Ghuman, Dr. Babar Naseem Aasi Copyright (c) 2025 TAHQEEQI JAREEDA https://www.ojs.gcwus.edu.pk/index.php/tj/article/view/425 Fri, 27 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Symbolic Significance of Animals in Ahmad Javed's Stories. https://www.ojs.gcwus.edu.pk/index.php/tj/article/view/423 <p>Ahmad Javed is a famous Pakistani Fiction writer. The novel employs a complex, non-linear storytelling structure, blending multiple narrators and perspectives to create a haunting, fragmented tale. The primary narrators include Juan Preciado (the son), Pedro Páramo (the father), and an omniscient, ghostly narrator who fills the gaps between their stories. Through shifting timelines, flashbacks, and auditory-visual sensory techniques, Rulfo constructs a narrative where the living and the dead coexist, and the past and present merge seamlessly. This article explores the novel’s innovative narrative formation, emphasizing its unique use of first-person and omniscient voices, dialogue-driven storytelling, and the interplay between memory and reality.</p> Taimoor Akhtar, Dr. Zafar Ahmed Copyright (c) 2025 TAHQEEQI JAREEDA https://www.ojs.gcwus.edu.pk/index.php/tj/article/view/424 Fri, 27 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000
